Boundaries
Just because your phone never sleeps, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. Make sure you have rules for yourself on when you tap those social media icons on your phone. If your personal and professional accounts are separate, you can even opt to keep the work account on another device so you can truly put it aside at the end of your workday. Trust us, social media won’t miss you while you sleep.

Tricks of the trade
Make keeping your social media accounts active easier! If you sit down for a few hours before the start of each month to plan and schedule your content, you’ll know it’s done. You can always hop on to film a Reel or add a Story, but the base of your content will be sent out to your audience, keeping the algorithm and your followers happy.

We talk about this one a lot, but… SCHEDULING! When you’re not manually posting all your content, you can really give yourself the freedom to choose the hours and time you spend engaging on social media. Give yourself a scroll limit and stick to it.

If your business relies on social media to reply to customer inquiries, meet Business Suite. Thank you to the Facebook gods for merging the Instagram and Facebook inboxes to allow those of us trying to stay sane to answer messages directly on desktop (AKA another way to avoid the scrolling!)

Get help
You may know how to create content, copywrite, and manage your own social media accounts, but you don’t have to. So outsource! We happen to know a social media agency that can help you with just that 😉. You can also work with a VA, graphic designers, and copywriters to give yourself more time to grow your business. Or, you know, take some time off!
